DeSantis suspended a Black woman from her elected position as State Attorney in Central Florida for being “woke,” as he calls it. Not only did he suspend her but as of today, she will no longer be paid or have benefits to support herself and her family. Regardless of what side you’re on, the governor has disenfranchised each and every voter. In addition, his reasoning for suspension is questionable. When your vote doesn’t matter, what are citizens supposed to do?
